After Puerto Rico was absolutely devastated by Hurricane Maria, Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló praised President Donald Trump for his response to the catastrophe. But San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz had a different reaction.
Cruz slammed Trump last Friday, saying:
“People are dying in this country. I am begging, begging anyone that can hear us, to save us from dying. If anybody out there is listening to us, we are dying and you are killing us with the inefficiency and the bureaucracy.”
She wore a T-shirt that said, “Help us, we are dying,” on TV:
And she even did an interview on TV in front of pallets of supplies that had not been delivered
But now, the mayor is back on TV with a different T-shirt, and the message it carries is aimed directly at Trump. When she appeared on MSNBC on Tuesday, she was wearing a zipped-up sweatshirt covering her T-shirt:
