Hours After Shaking His Hand in Puerto Rico, San Juan Mayor Goes on CNN to Say This About Trump

Just hours after meeting with President Donald Trump and shaking his hand in Puerto Rico, San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz appeared on CNN and delivered some harsh comments about the commander in chief.

When asked if she felt Trump would continue to help meet Puerto Rico’s needs in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, Cruz responded like this:

“Well, I sure hope so. But, you know, sometimes his foul communication gets in the way. We would have all preferred, and I’m speaking for myself, to just have him hear from us the reality on the ground versus ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and back to reality. So we saw two meetings, totally disconnected, one to another. One was to praise the people that are working here.”

Later, Cruz reiterated that Trump has a “lack of sensibility” and slammed him for joking that Puerto Rico threw the U.S. budget out of whack.

“I think his staff understands now, and they have all the data they need. But I would hope that the president of the United States stops spouting out comments that really hurt the people of Puerto Rico,” she said. “Rather than commander in chief, he sort of becomes communicator in chief.”

What a piece of work she is! Is she in an ungrateful blind person to the fact that we couldn’t fly planes into Puerto Rico all runways were washed away, we couldn’t drive down roads that were washed away with live wires on the ground, but we did send ships loaded with goods unfortunately there were no vehicles available to transport the goods! The US did the best we could and as fast as we could to deliver!
